The gibberellic acid is a kind of plant growth regulator. Endogenous gibberellic acid commonly exists in the bodies of plants and is one of important hormone for helping plants to grow up and an antagon of growth inhibitors such as paclobutrazol, chlormequat chloride, etc. It can enforce division and growth of cells, expansion of stems, widening of leaves, parthenocarpy and growth of fruits, break seed dormancy, change a ratio of female flowers to male flowers, affect time of flowering and reduce falling-off of flowers and fruits. After being absorbed by plants, the product has the same physiological function as the endogenous gibberellic acid. The gibberellic acid enters the bodies of plants mainly by leaves, tender branches, flowers, seeds or fruits and then is transferred to actively growing parts.
